Quixote Quest is not for all teens who want to volunteer. It is for all teens who want to make a difference through volunteering. To truly make a difference, volunteers need to be commited to their volunteer service, and be willing to invest their time to make a change in the lives of people or animals who need their help.
Quixote Quest provides young people (ages 14 through 18) with the opportunity and the support to make a difference in their community through volunteering. Through a unique approach, which bonds young volunteers together in a club atmosphere, QQ exposes teens to positive experiences that effect their view of community service... now and in the future.
Quixote Quest maintains strong relationships with community organizations who need volunteers and especially like to include teenagers in their important work. QQ helps each teen member to connect with a good cause, while taking into consideration the time and location of the community service, in order that it fits their schedule and transportation is available.
Quixote Quest currently has clubs (called Quarters) in Burlington, Camden, Mercer and Gloucester counties. There are no dues or fees to join Quixote Quest, just the desire to volunteer once per week, and take an active part in the club.
In the 2008-2009 school year, Quixote Quest members (called the Qrew) came from over 40 New Jersey high schools, and volunteered at nearly 35 different community causes. Each teen chooses the kind of volunteering that he/she would like to do. 100 teens will voluntarily give of their heart, their talents and their time so that others will have a better life and seek nothing for themselves in return
Also members have the option to join with other Quixote Quest Qrews once a month to do a large Group Service Project (GSP). GSPs are hard work but they are great fun and are a way to meet people from other parts of the state who feel the same about the importance of volunteering. Group Service Projects are not mandatory but nearly half the membership enjoy doing the large service events. It feels like being part of a great big sorority/fraternity which exists to help worthy community causes. QQ is a special family.
Quixote Quest is fortunate to work with great community causes who offer meaningful volunteer opportunities to high school aged teens...opportunities where they can touch lives of those who are struggling with life. We call this "Starfish" volunteering, where teens actually have a true chance to really make a difference with the time that they will be donating to help others.
"Without any questions, Quixote Quest is my passion. It is such an awesome experience doing many different volunteer projects while having so much fun at the same time. You'll get to meet a diverse group of people who have such warm hearts. If you get to really dive into our club, I have no doubt in my mind that you will never regret it. It will be a priceless experience that will last a life time. Welcome to QQ."

"It’s hard to put QQ into words, probably because it means so much to everyone that’s in it, and everyone that’s helped by the club. As a former President of QQ, I think that QQ was definitely a huge part of my life, and I loved every minute of it. I think what really says a lot about our club, the type of people that we have involved in it. Even if they have just met you, everyone talks like they’ve know each other forever, laughing, having a good time, and including everyone in it. It’s the perfect mix of volunteering and fun and I’ll never forget it."

"I am so glad that I made the choice to join QQ because of its special nature. This organization teaches its members about the importance and dedication necessary for volunteerism, and also provides a fun and worthwhile experience. I always felt as though I was making a difference with Quixote Quest. Now in college, I still feel connected to the group. Quixote Quest is certainly worth joining if you are willing to make a commitment."

"For me, Quixote Quest is all about the people. I love that the Qlub has given me countless opportunities to make a difference in others' lives, but more than that, QQ introduced me to teens all over South Jersey who are doing amazing things on a daily basis. The members of Quixote Quest are truly some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met, and it's their dedication that inspires me as a volunteer."
